Benjamin Moore Natura Paint

Sponsored Review

My youngest son just turned three, so we decided it was time for him to have a Big Boy room. We decided this some time ago, but the task just kept getting pushed down the to-do list. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I was offered the opportunity to review the Benjamin Moore Natura Paint. Natura is Benjamin Moore’s greenest paint, safer for you, your family and the environment. Finally, the motivation I need to make the change!

Choosing the paint color was actually quite easy. A little background: We discovered Benjamin Moore five years ago when we bought our older home and were expecting our first child. It is an understatement to say we had some painting to do. We were starting to panic because we had so many rooms to paint, not to mention furnish, decorate, and nest in an extremely short period of time.

Enter the Benjamin Moore Historical Collection. Paint color fan decks can be a little overwhelming (and super fun at the same time), but once we discovered the Historical Collection, we knew we could stop looking. Warm, timeless, traditional colors, we discovered, were just our style. So back to the Historical Collection we went when searching for the right color for the new Big Boy room.

We chose Edgecomb Gray HC-173, as it is a subtle, neutral color. Perfect for a little boy's room that will see lots of pops of color from finger-painting wall art and whimsical decorations. You can choose the Natura paint in any of the Benjamin Moore color options.

It is more a Greige (grey beige), than a straight grey. What makes it perfect for kids' rooms and family spaces is that the Natura paint has no VOC and zero emissions, and carries the Green Promise designation. Our son was sleeping in his room the very night we painted.

We couldn’t even smell the paint in the house, and it was a dream to work with. Quick drying times, splatter resistant, and no primer needed. Even better, it provides a durable, washable surface so you can wash and scrub as needed. Who doesn’t love that in a kids’ room?

The little one loves his Big Boy room, and we love that is was easy to create a new, fun space for him to enjoy – without the worry about harmful chemicals and with quality that will endure for some time.

We found everything we needed at our local paint store, the Paint & Paper Place in Purcellville, VA. They are super helpful and a long-time trusted small business in our area. They get extra points in my book since they have a few toys around for the kids to play with while mom and dad shop.

I received Benjamin Moore paint for the purpose of this review.
